My drivers side window chose the perfect time to stay open dead in the middle of the frame ... its -31c outside right now with the windchill, and thank GOD for the heater in that car .. .jeez

is it usually wiring, the little switch assembly, or both that stop working?

I know I should've gotten manual windows :D

The wires often break right by the door hinge, they get flexed everytime the door opens and closes

There's a pair of little relays under the dash, right below the triple cluster, and sometimes they fail. It could also be cracked wiring thru the door. The motors and tracks almost never fail.

Pull the door panel off and get some power to the motor just to get it up, and fix it this weekend when it's only -4.
