Hi Guys,

I'm getting a lot closer to buying a '94 940T out of Washington State and I'm very serious about converting it over to a manual tranny. I've located parts from a '90 740 T with a manual so I can get the hard-to-get flywheel I need for the conversion at a reasonable price plus I can get the tranny with the proper bellhousing and newer style P type Laycock OD on it.

The other parts I need include a clutch pedal assy from a 740 plus a black shift console from the same and the front half of the driveshaft. The place selling the tranny & flywheel wants too much money for the clutch pedal assy and front driveshaft. Those parts can come from any 740 with a manual tranny so I'm hoping to be able to pull those parts at PYP and save a few $$.

Anyhoo, if any of you are down at PYP and happen to see a 740 with a manual tranny in it please alert me right away. My home/office phone is 403-270-7319 and my cell phone no. is 403-701-7319.

Also, does anyone know if you can use Virgo wheels on a 940 ?

Thanks,

Roj

Virgos will not fit the front brakes.

Bummer about the Virgos.

What's the standard tire size for a 940 ?

Standard tire size was the same as 240's. It's the Virgo's spokes that won't clear the calipers, if I'm not mistaken...

"standard size" was the 16" rims i think, Hydras...i have never seen virgo's, multi-x's, or draco's on a 900

standard size on the 940 is 195/65/15, slightly larger than a 240.

turbo's got the optional 205/55/16's, and they were an option. my parents '93 945Ti came with 15" alloys.
