Alright, so this last AutoX where me and Vik participated and the rest of you losers slept in and watched tv! (lol) - we were invited to join the "Trail of the gnu" Rally on the 28th of January in Rocky Mountain House.

I've thought about it, and it'd be pretty hardcore to either do the rally in the Tercel (4wd! omfg!) or the volvo ... ? :)

Any thoughts specifically? Will you guys all support me in this venture some how? I need that volvo running and do not have the sexpertise to do so, I hate wires and I'm kind of a clumsy brute and know deep within that if I were to try and fix it, I'd break it. :(

The car also wants its A-Cam and perhaps new lifters - well, something is wrong with a valve or lifter or something, Athal heard the sound, it isn't a good one. - It needs more boost. It needs lightening, and I can then weld up a harness bar and install a harness. I've got tires galore, even crazy tractor looking tires :)

So, well... I don' know, since getting my feet wet with Solo2 on gravel, I think rally and well, any racing REALLY gets my juices flowing, I simply love it! It's the most fun, mentally focusing task I've done in a long time, and I am hooked!

Realize the these are Time-Distance-Speed events, NOT all out events like solo. The idea is to get from point A to point B in a set amount of time, you are penalized for being early or late. All speds are at or beow posted speed limits. The power of the car has not influence on the success. I would bring the Tercel becase it is running and reliable.

I know they are timed and AVG speed is the winner ;) But I kind of want to use this as an excuse to get the volvo on the road :)

The tercel is dead reliable, but yea - getting boring-er :)

Matt: No, I'm very poor, didn't get fuck all for xmas, but a harness bar is steel + flux core, harness is 50 bux, and what else? oh, the rally is 45 dollars ... ?

I'm around tonight, you're always welcome. Athal has a wiring harness for me. I don't know if the Two Tone terror is going to be a drift car or a rally car :D - or both?! ;)

I agree, and get enough of us out to the event and we can push you, without the engine it should not be too bad, espacially with the short straight aways LOL

Sorry Raz, could not miss that opportunity to diss you :P :P :P

All dissing aside, the audi might run soon!

the volvo runs pretty good now, but I thoroughly needs that wiring harness to be of any use to me. Then it needs more boost and for me to replace the motor mount with the brand new shitty one I have, and THEN chain the mutha down :)
