Oh, reeeaally?? I never thought of that. There is at least one old car out at John's that has the metal piece on the outside, but that makes a whole lot of sense. Hahahahahah. It really doesn't look right.
That might also explain why when I had a look at it, the size is different too.
Both mirrors are on now, one with the proper rubber, one with the farmer-ed job - I'm not sure I'm willing to take them off - what a pain!!! I noticed with the first one that the door was deformed slightly by the bolts on the inside, the second one I laid-off tightening it so-much. I've had several 122 mirrors off and on again, and never have I seen such a thang....
