I must admit that I don't seem to have very much time to play with cars these days, but last weekend I had a few minutes. What part of the car have I missed cleaning lately? #-o

The car has bee running great, no problems but I just had that itch.
The day started with the engine looking like this:

A short time later after undoing a few bolts:

... and a few more bolts later ... look at all that dirt, I think it needs cleaning and polishing

I know what's coming, and to most of y'alls it might seem like nothing much is changing, but it's gonna make a big difference in the way this already potent car runs.

A few last purdy buts and she looks just like when I started
Yes full roller cam and roller rockers,

The cam is a Trick Flow stage one Specs:
Advertised Duration (Degrees): 283 intake/291 exhaust
Duration at .050 in. Lift (Degrees): 221 intake/225 exhaust
Valve Lift with 1.6 Rocker Arms: .499 in. intake/.510 in. exhaust

My previous Crane cam specs:
Advertised Duration (Degrees): 274/282 duration
Duration intake/exhaust at 0.050 inch: 224/232
Valve Lift with 1.72 Rocker Arms: .583“/ .605”

Heads are AFR 165 58cc chambers. These heads are actually have considerably smaller posts and slightly smaller intake valves, but this keeps the port velocity higher and really wakes up the engine

I actually "de-tuned" the engine, max HP may be a little lower but power band HP should be way up. Much smoother idle (although still lumpy), power comes on hard from below 2000 rop, and instand throttle response.

I have a but more tuning to do on the carb but I am driving it ,,, only took the weekend.

Thanks Andy, it is nice when a plan works out.
That does not happen very often when working on cars but this time =D>
