Hi guys,

I wish I could have tagged along on the drive yesterday. Looks like it was fun.

I predict a ton of questions coming up, so if you think you'd rather have one single "Dustin's stupid questions" thread to ignore, let me know.

Question: when you're doing serious under-dash work on a Volvo 122 (like replacing the instrument cluster), do you leave the entire dash in place and work under it, or do you unbolt those 3 bolts on either side and pull the entire structure off? I don't know if it comes off that way, but it looks like it could. My guess is that it's too much trouble to do that and I need to get used to confined spaces.

Dustin

At most I usually only pull the instrument cluster and maybe the front seat. Get comfortable laying on your back and work away.
I am sure Dale has a picture of me working under his dash

When I have to work on the cluster (replacement etc), I pull just the cluster. If I have to change the bulbs or wiring etc, I do that in place.
