Just looking for input...

Since my refinished Pegasus wheels turned out so nicely, I need to put tires on them. I've researched a bunch and it looks like Tire Rack is the cheapest, even after shipping to Canada. What I need now is a tire shop that will install my new tires in my newly painted rims and not destroy them. No offense Paul, but you don't have the equipment I'm looking for.

I'm going to call Rick at Kirk's tire. I've dealt with them quite a bit in the past. Anyone have other recommendations?

Thanks,

Kal Tire usually knows what they're doing.

I'm thinking a wheel shop would be good too. I had a very positive experience with the shop off edmonton trail and mcknight (Alberta wheel repair) fixing my wheels. They'll have all the equipment to deal with any size and style of rim...

Tire Rack has a couple of "recommended" places in Calgary. One is Lad's Auto in Bonnybrook. They show pricing...$50 PER wheel to mount and balance a 17" tire...

Wonder how much business they get???

They're close to your house, and my boss has used them & is pretty happy with them. He's got a BMW 550 and it's his freakin' baby, so if he's happy, you might be safe.

The best place is Togo Tire on Centre St. south near Speakeasy. To mount & balance an 18" tire they charge $20. More importantly they have a new tire machine and are very careful mounting the tires. They will even let you watch as they do it.
