I saw lights on and doors open at B & J last week so I suspect Paul is up and running again. I would at least get his opinion on it...

I wouldn't darken the door of any other indy shop that claims to specialize in Volvos in this town...

How handy are you and the son-in-law? Pulling the interior and scrubbing it down isn't hard. If you do need to replace the ECU finding and replacing it with a good used one is doable as well. Like Dale said, if nothing else get Paul to look at it then you will have a good idea what needs to be done. Good luck.
