So, I did some work on my solid axle ferd v8 780.

Here's me getting started.
Image

I only ended up doing the suspension bits, didn't have enough time to do the lights, subframe, or the diff.

I was dreading these gland nuts and they did not disappoint... The passenger side came off without a hasstle....driver's side was a royal pain in the arse. Ended up cutting it out. miraculously saved all the threads! The new bilstein gland nut screwed right in. :)

I got these springs from Alex, but i wasn't able to use them...i didn't feel like fabricating something for the top of the strut so i went with stock tapered spring and sliced 2 coils.

I put this nissan skyline muffler on to see if it was going to sound cool. Turns out it sounds kinda lame. So i took it off.

No pictures of the rears, but i sliced 1.5 coils and it dropped too low. Fished the springs out and found there was a hockey puck spacer up in there. Thankfully i had some 940 sedan springs that were thicker, sliced a single coil and popped them in. It's slightly rakey but i don't mind it.

More updates to come...I have no front swaybar at all, since both endlinks are destroyed. I can't find a new set anywhere so i might be fabbing up my own.
I think i might do the strut tower camber mod as well. I'll sort out the swaybar first and see how i like it from there.

Praise the lowered!! Although I'd level it out.

iPd has both styles of endlinks listed on their site?? Or do you have a different bar b/c of the V8 and those are for the stock V6??

No idea on anyone in Canadia doing that stuff?? Have you looked on SAM's site, shipping wouldn't be any worse from Sweden than Portland.

iPd's shipping cost's to Canada suck, we're very lucky here to have the SweetGrass option.

Looks good!

It's too bad I didn't make it up to Stoon to see my sister more often. I ship everything to North Dakota since it's only a 30 min drive. I could bring up parts.. but so far I've only been up once this year.

Thanks for the compliments!

The rears need a bit of fender rolling yet. And i have my adjustable panhard in the works.
Hoping to get the g80 in there before the snow flies.
