I think we've got a 3/4" bore in your car, Dale. 5/8" is an option.

You're spot on, Geoff. Smaller MC is more pressure and less volume, you trade stroke for effort.

You can also go in smaller increments. I've got a 0.700" MC for my front brakes. I was running the stock MC which is 7/8" and requires a fair bit of pedal effort.

AP Racing also makes master cylinders with vertical flange mounts that match the 122 spacing...

I'll be using one when I put the 122 back together as I don't have room for the Wilwood m/c anymore...

I'm beginning to see why everyone changes brake components..

Thought I'd price out new OEM MC, Calipers and front discs.

First off can't even find discs, second calipers with exchange are over 200 each! I'd be over $600 for calipers, MC and pads.

I guess I'll continue with Wilwood master cylinder, hopefully it resolves my dragging brake issue and I can continue driving the car this year.

Dale, you don't have any wilwood brackets/hats left over from Avalanche days do you?

If you do decide to keep the original brakes, the parts are available as I've been tracking them down. I probably should have upgraded but too late now. The caliber pistons are all the seal are available on Rock Auto for a decent price. Pads are available at ipd or even NAPA. The rotors are available through the dealer but pricey - $210 each!
