Hi guys, I picked up some seat belts a while back from a late model 240, to use in my Amazon and I'm not sure if they are going to work. I'm in a bit of a pinch and need some belts before June 1 as I need to get the car inspected. Anyone know where I can order/buy/find a set that is known to work with an Amazon? Or does anyone have any decent stock front belts? My time to be testing/experimenting is running out very quickly!

I also need a stock rear lap belt. Anyone have one kicking around they would sell?

Why do you think the belts won't work in an Amazon? We used them in Dale's car, practically zero modification, and they're what I plan on using in mine.

To be clear, if you convert to 240 style belts you either need the complete assembly for latching from under the centre console and the front belts (obviously). Then they basically bolt in after you've removed the crazy loop and lobster claws. Please do at least this. I've seen old belts that look fine fall apart. If you get belts from a 90 + 240 then the latching system is different as each belt has an independent latch and you'll have to figure this out (this is what I'm doing). It's a little more fabrication and probably what you're looking at right now. You could also buy new from Seat Belt Planet (I've shopped with them) and they will make whatever you like.

I also have a perfect set of front belts with working lobster claws that I would sell you. You'll just have to get used to having to latch your passengers into the car every time.

The rear seat belt on a 240/740 has a single anchor paired with the across-the-middle lap belt, and on the other side of the middle passenger it has a pair of anchors tied together. This anchor can replace the big loop between the front seats on a 122, which is what I plan to do in my '66. It prevents the need to weld in separate anchors for the later style front seat belts.

The rest of the 240 front seatbelt mechanism should bolt in, though you might need to drill a hole for the retract mechanism to keep it from rotating.

Hmmm, wishing I'd have grabbed the rear belt anchor when I grabbed the later belts. If you see one, add it to your pick and pull cart please.
