After years of neglect I have been working on / driving the 1800 again. About 5 years back I put a sport exhaust (sorry forgot the name but sourced from Sweden) that is a little too loud day to day. I want to add a resonator I think but the clearance is limited. Any ideas of what to use and who to talk to?

Thanks,
Eric

ps. I also need a hop / mechanic who can replace a few bits that require a press etc (driveshaft bushings etc. ) Any recommendations?

It really depends on where the existing mufflers go in the system.

The early cars (B18B's and I think this is also true for the 1800S with B20) had two mufflers like this.

While the later E/ES had three - with a resonator just behind the down pipe. Like this.

I would think that this system would be a little quieter. Not really performance oriented, but it doesn't sound like that's the issue.

1) I think my current system is pipe from the header all the way to a muffler at the back. I will confirm tonight.

2) I live in West Calgary (Signal Hill)
