Craig's talking about the SASCC autocross schedule, not something incorporated into this rally.

Yes - what Matt said. I'm committed to drive in the autocross events, so I'm just saying that I don't want to miss this event due to my prior commitment to race.

Ah gotcha. Just got confused as someone else mentioned combining them.

That's correct. One certain road doesn't open until about the 10th or so of June. So it will have to be later than that.

Would June 18-19 work for everyone?

Sounds like a good date to me, not too early for possible spring snow storms as you are planning on xing the Highwood Pass. I think trying to make a July or August date work is next to impossible with vacations? May long is so busy I don't know if cruising would be a great idea, although it does give the extra day but I wonder if it's worth it?

A question on the format, is this a driver/navigator type of event ie: how strenuous are the "games" you mentioned?

Rallycross was just an idea if it worked with schedule, but your planned route is much longer than I first thought when I first suggested it.

Absolutely love the long distance plan - but it will be harder for SK people as we'll need a day to get there, and a day to come back ideally.

I'm still hopeful - but I still won't know if I can swing the trip until May most likely.

I may have to take a long weekend or plan a family trip east around this.

June 18-19 will work for me. Whether or not I have a co-pilot and a car to drive or if I am the co-pilot riding in someone else's car, it sounds like fun.

Edit - actually, I shouldn't say "definitely" just yet. It'll depend on the job situation.

Was reading the Lethbridge Herald this morning and saw a piece on the ongoing work happening in Waterton this year. The Akamina Parkway to Cameron Lake is closed to traffic for the year. The road to Red Rock canyon is closed until May opening May 6 - June 17 for weekend use only, and then opening full time June 17.

Not saying we should avoid Waterton for the cruise, but the driving opportunities are going to be limited and/or congested most of this year.

All the details are posted here:

Registration can be done online and I have rooms in a hotel in Waterton already blocked off, but book fast!

Nothing's changed for me, so I can't commit to anything right now... Sorry Dave. Neither do I have a car to bring right now, nor a navigator (though I'm sure I could scare one up), nor do I know that I have time or money.

I'd love to, but the gravel is going to scare me off at the moment...my 240 is just not sprung for gravel. I'd rather we just stick to a set of roads and get together for a nice drive. Breakfast in Coleman anyone?

Sorry Dave - I wish I could commit. I still love the idea - but I'm in the same "non commital" boat. I won't know and can't plan anything until closer to the event.

Bright side is my wife's cousin work's in / near Waterton so I don't need to necessarily book too far in advance, and worst case I'd tent or sleep in my car if needed. :)

Thanks,

Rabin
