I'll solve two of my issues at once: I'm volunteering to be a copilot/navigator.

Update: Registrations have been very slow. It's looking likely that I'll have to cancel the event.

What about postponing the event to a late summer or fall event?

It's a great idea and I'd love to be able to commit, but current planned dates are tough to make work for me at least.

Sorry to hear you're having troubles gathering interest, Dave. I'm sorrier that I don't have a car to bring.

Is the issue getting people to pledge for Alzheimers? I wonder if you'd have had different success by only requiring an entry fee for this year, and once the event has run a couple of times get people to start gathering pledges and sponsorship and the like. I see now that it's not a REQUIREMENT, but I got the impression that it sort of was.

I hope it goes through in one way or the other, though - I'd like to participate at some point, if not this year.

The problem is that nobody has a car they want to subject to any gravel. There are 4-5 people who do have cars they would take on the event, but none of them will be ready by then.

Subject to gravel is one thing...I have subjected my car to gravel. It used to like gravel. Now it does not - with the autocross set up, gravel roads would be brutal and it would be like shear ice for this thing. My suspension is simply tuned to no longer like that surface.
