Saying hello to the group members.

I'm from South Western Ontario and have been a Volvophile since the
mid 80s.

Owned a 1991 - 740 Turbo stick followed by a 1998 V70AWD stick.
I'm now working on bucket list items. One item is: Volvo 780
restoration/preservation/stewardship.

I found a preserved 1990 - 780 with PRV V6 B280F (95K km/1 owner/BC - no salt).
This is essentially an almost new running car.

I know zip about the V6 motor and have started to gather info. To support
this 1990, I found at 1989 - 780 with B230FT. But after consideration, I plan
to road the 89 and preserve it as well. The 89 has been sitting for 8-10 years
indoor and shows its (rust from previous winters, rusted rear end, rust ...).

The work on the 89 is straight forward. The B230FT motor is running and it is slowing
working the moisture out of the system. In the last 2 weeks, 95% of the electrical
systems are back (retired EE, so this is the easy stuff).

Join this group because it is Canadian based and I believe there is a good knowledge
base here on the B280F motors.

Welcome aboard Ed. There certainly is some deep PRV knowledge on this board (myself EXCLUDED).
