Found out yesterday I sprung a leak somewhere in my coolant! I have to find out now where its leaking. left my car outside and car froze and no chance of starting. I need a block heater. Whats the best place to find a cheap block heater for my car? and where should I look first for the leak in my coolant system? I feel like this might be an expensive cold morning. Any tips?

The usual places on Volvos to leak are the water pump itself (there's a weep hole on the pump body, on the shaft right behind the pulley), at the seal between the water pump and cylinder head (at the very top of the pump, and at the very front of the head), a frost plug if you really did freeze your car, or the heater core.

Frost plug style block heaters can be bought anywhere - Auto Value, Partsource, NAPA, etc. You can also get one that you install in the lower rad hose. Easier to install, but less effective in my book as the frost plug style.

The white car started this morning. The silver car fired right up and then died. Eventually it started but not without a boost... :(
