I was going to ditch the ash tray in the 122, may keep it now and modify to fit the ipod. :D

Hmmmm, yeah, that's tight. And I had forgotten with the dock being at the bottom, the iPod goes in backwards. I was thinking I'd be able control the iPod from within the ashtray.

Nah, I just pull it out to change it up. I usually have the 160gb on shuffle anyway, or in a playlist so I rarely run into songs I don't wanna hear lol

Got off work early so I took the floor out, applied a gloss sealer to the floor and reinstalled everything w/ new mounts. Then tinkered with the carb for a bit so it doesn't idle at 1300 rpm. 900 sounded much better but I still think it's running way rich (on really really really old fuel mind you...maybe I should get some new stuff first come to think of it haha)

anyway, modified mounts. Ready to beat the street...once I get my damn shifter back from Alberta Plating.

Don't laugh...had to improvise so I didn't die lol

Have some people had some bad experiences or something? Or just curious because nobody has gone there yet?

It's pricey for what it is, but they do a lot of the prep work. Cost $70 for my shifter but it's quite long. Bumpers are $300-$600 depending on condition.

I've had a lot of chrome work done...not happy with my plater and went to him because he's "better" apparently. Hope it works out for you. I'm always looking for someone else that can do professional work. I know that Victoria Plating does good work.

Advanced Plating in Medicine Hat - total F-ing hack job. I've spent thousands on chrome only to have most of it go sideways. Let's see, the chrome on my custom built grills is peeling as they didn't prepare the aluminum at all and only chromed plated it (no copper or nickel), the front bumper is a total mess in my opinion, the rear bumper ends are starting to rust after 2 years, the front bumper ends are only nickel plated...no chrome. I'm doing it all again and sending it to the guys in Victoria as they do high end show cars. I'd just like it done correctly. Chrome guys seem to come up with so many stories as to why it's hard to do - you'd think we didn't mass produce these cars.

Well the plating turned out better than I expected, keep in mind though this was in perfect condition before dipping and there were no pits or anything to really touch up I don't think.

More pics up later today after I take it for a spin. I drove it around for 20 min last night after I finally got the timing set, points set, and carb set to a point where it idled nicely.
