Hello Everyone,

Just picked up a 1968 122s Wagon a few weeks ago. Completely stumbled across these cars and fell in love instantly. It's the complete opposite of what I have done and very excited as to what the future will bring with this build. My step father has been extremely helpful with this car (has restored and own Volvo's most of his life). Still learning a lot of things about this car and wouldn't be possible without everyone's support. Thank you!

Well, without further ado...

Didn't even have the car more than 24 hours and we already started tinkering with it.

This has been the fun the last few days.

The coil will be put in the where the original OEM was. Just have it moved off to the side while I worked on other things and make a plate. Also put in new wires, plugs, and cap.

In the process of converting the car over to an alternator. Still researching the wiring layout...

Looks to be in great shape. Just a tip - when pulling the dizzy, there is no need to pull the aluminum holder (two bolts) - just loosen the the cross bolt and pull it straight out. That way there is no chance that the drive gear from the oil pump comes out. They get stuck, just change the O-ring and clean that thing.

122 wagons are probably my most favourite wagon ever built. I'd love to find one one day.

Will be following your progress

Welcome, nice looking car! I had a 122 wagon for years, did moderate engine and suspension mods and it was a lot of fun. Rust and being run into repeatedly finally finished it. Looking forward to following your fun. As you've seen there are some great 122 projects on this board.

That thing looks gorgeous! I'd love to find a wagon some day. I'll be watching this thread.

The short bus visited the local watering hole (aka cigar affair).

Took the car to grab our first Christmas tree. The family loves it. Pic of my stepfather loading all puppies in the car.

That is awesome! I wish I could have seen that car barreling down the road with a tree strapped on top :)

I always thought they were a small car, but with him sitting on the back, it sure puts it into perspective. Unless he is Andre the giant?

Got the new coil bracket in. Looks a lot better now.

Then started working on the interior lights. The switches just needed cleaning.
