For those who didn't know, I started a new job about 3 weeks ago. (Not perfect, but so much better! Grass is greener, sky is bluer and coal is darker! :D )

I got a little welcome gift for my new job: A 1:50 scale Shovel. 26 inches long - 16 inches high - 12 inches wide - More than 30 lbs!

I have a 1:50 Cat 793 (240 tons truck) and it's still too small to go with it! (it need a 320-400 tons truck to match it)

Yes. Still in Hinton. I wasn't really planning to stay here, but it was a question of timing. Also, after 3 job offers that failed at the last second, I was happy to get a good offer.

Matt, in real life, we could put the biggest Volvo shovel in the bucket of that one! Hey! Weren't you the one that you're not really a "one brand" kind of guy? :P And sorry to disappoint you, my next car won't be a Volvo.

You'll notice that I said nothing about it being a Volvo: that was Ian. I'm fine with several brands: everyone does something well! What are you thinking of for the next car?

I'm not sure yet. I'd like another RWD/AWD wagon, something newer.

Neh... Trucks are over rated... Anyway, if I was cool, I probably wouldn't have driven the same hippie car for the last 10 years.

Anyway, why would I bother to pay a fortune to play with the same thing I use at work for free everyday?

Right... The car, not the engine..

Same thing. Over my dead body before I buy an american car.

I'll wait to see if I will have a good mechanic before deciding anything. (Read if my brother decide to move here or not)

But if I get another car, I'd prefer a slightly used car. When most of the depreciation is gone.
