It's a really short stretch of pavement - you can see the old bridge supports from the new(er) bridge if you look east as you are driving through the valley. To get to the old road, you go east on the township road right at the top of the hill on the south side of the valley, then take the first range road going south. It is really quite interesting - it winds through the coulees and is much twistier than that current straight blast down the hillside. I could see the old highway on the north side of the river as well - I'll have to try and find it someday.

Have you ever noticed the old stretch of highway #3 near Sparwood? It also looks really neat.

I think it is time for a Lethbridge/Coaldale group photo!

Do you mean take the first range road going north as the last turn, if you turn south won't you be heading to Coaldale? More great shots as well, if I can find it I have a pic from the Coaldale Volvo Club this summer. :lol:

You're right - you go north. There is no south road!
