This was suppose to be a parts car. Picked it up last month. It has been sitting for since 2008
(with what appears to be 224K km) and was winter driven in SWO. Backend has to be rebuilt,
IRS looks like fused rusting pile. The brake lines are about to burst from rust. Previous owner
had completely renewed the front end, rotors, pads, calipers, ball joints. Not sure about the struts.

Most the electrical systems were not working (they are now). I have all lights, ECU, ECC,
power seats, cabin lighting. Modern/new regulator - getting good stable 14.2VDC power
off the OE Bosch. Max is getting full LED - less power. I hope to integrate Pi/Arduino real time
engine monitoring system by collecting data from the existing set of sensors. Will also
have to add a vacuum sensor and see about extracting info from the LH2.2.

The motor runs. Rough but runs. I have a weekly engine run up to temperature (20 minutes).
Lots of water and carbon soot coming out the back, but no burning oil or coolant. There is less
and less water/soot now with new gas in the tank.

If the body can be mended and rust controlled, this will be the sleeper build. I am concerned
about the body metal where the IRS attaches. As well, the stamped/welded IRS parts
also don''t instill confidence. So I may have go looking for newer IRS backends.

The Ontario safety regs are 99 pages, so lots of work before we can road it for
Krown rust inhibiting and body work.

I scored a lower spoiler from a wrecker. It is in 3 pieces and I started putting it back together.

Using a new Peramtex epoxy that is suppose to be good enough for this type of application.

Using galvanized metal and mesh tape+epoxy to give some structure across the cracks. The
parts that have cured look like they will hold up for summer driving.

It came with a semi intact tow hook door (WOW). It is being fixed as well.
