Do I sense some bitterness?

Considering the mk3's weren't available in 16v form in North American cars i'd call it a "build" especially with what is going ON the 16v once it's done 8) . I think his turbo came off of an 89 Audi so I think someone did most of the "blowing up" for him  .

Yea, he was repp'ing in the A3 2.0T. Those are nice cars, we cross shopped that with the V50.

Both of those supercharged M3's were awesome too. The E30 is sitting at around 400hp at the wheels and it's completely gutted, wish I coulda cruised with it. The S4 and myself had a little fun too but talk about outta my league

Thanks for coming Vik, too bad we didn't have more volvo's but it will happen with time i'm sure. Too bad the Calgary guys didn't stick around for longer though! We came back from grabbing something to eat and 1/2 the cars were gone.

comes from the lack of being a "close knit group"

when the CVC group goes out for cruises we are always together, at all times...not like okay we are on highway 2 lets split up and scatter

it's more fun that way i find!

ciao

With a group like that there will always be ones that want to drive faster so usually what happens is it spreads out a little and then we get back together. The biggest thing is none of us like to hold up traffic so we won't slow right down to wait for folks. I'd say we stayed pretty close together for most of the way. Seeing as I was the "organizer" of sorts I basically tried not to speed too much so I didn't set the tone for the trip, no one likes tickets on a group cruise. The Edmonton chapter is MUCH tighter though after only a few months as a club, I suspect they will out grow us in no time.

It turns out some folks went to grab something to eat and didn't come back as they went kind of far. It was a good first event nonetheless. Next year we may have to have it a little earlier so the washrooms and concession are open.

Theres bitterness between us now....I (was) his best friend and I know that car inside and out believe me. I don't really need to be taught about vw's, I almost bought a couple. I've done my research. Wish I was there though, maybe next time I guess

Oh, and that turbo was my old turbo, no shaft play, always after run'ed (audi K series turbos last forever due to the after run system) - oh, and only 190000 km on it.

He blew it up because he had too much oil going into it, wrong size restrictor.

Difference between build and assemble? Knowing what the fuck you're doing.
