That was fantastic...Matt should get the award for the most accurate HP/Torque guess. Greg and I are planning on being at the next even for sure. After Dale's pull, I'm officially affraid of the engine I'm building (a buddy in the states pulled 140 ish RWHP with the identical set up).

Very nice! Thanks Raz.

Athal....how much boooooost were you at? And were those numbers with or without the chip?

Edit: How much drivetrain loss on that dyno, anybody know?

That was 12psi, 2.2 fuel chip. Sorta wish I had thrown in the stock chip for comparison, but I wanted to keep the line moving. Really interested to see Matt's curves since he did just that, then maybe I can excrapolate mine from his.

Kat was the baseline car, pulling 195 at the wheels. Her car came 236crank from the factory, but given that she's got 280,000 odd kms, who knows if she's still making that. I'd guess pretty close anyway. That's 17% loss, which is pretty good for a FWD automatic. Either the s70 driveline is pretty efficient or she's making more power than stock. Probably the former.

Did we confirm what gear that was in? That could affect it as well.

If I was losing 13% through my driveline, that would put me at 235hp and 256ft-lbs at the crank. Means I'm making roughly 200HP at 8psi on 87 octane. Pretty sweet...

Very nice! I was happy to see your numbers Athal. Pretty good. I'm hoping to shoot for those in the next year or so. We shall see. Dunno if I'll be on K-jet for much longer. I'm kinda hoping to keep it.
Would there not be MORE drivetrain loss on the RWD cars? I guess the auto in the S70 adds some....

viktor darlin, one of these days i may just be doin exhaust system and a chip EVENTUALLY ;) too many other things needing my money :(

need to start whoring myself out more come on!

actually, I may be doing a temp weekends job in a couple o weeks at crossroads. we'll see how long i can put up w ith having no weekends and see how much longer i'll be waiting on some of these upgrades.

And the dyno was in third.

Andy - that leaf blowing around my engine, I BLAME ON YOU!

Athal - next year i'll smoke your ass ;) and um, I don't think I'd be making more than stock...I have done NOTHING on the performance end. Miss Viv's just THAT good ;)

Ian - yeah. no. I don't think I'll ever come near you

Raz - cheese is actually yummy. My prediction should have been going through a wall. The fact that I didn't still amazes me.

Gauntlet down - better figure out how to live up to that claim...me thinks Athal's got more up his sleeve (or under the uber cool hat) than you expect. Don't forget the 'Bridge Boys will be there and I expect Greg will have the YROG sorted.

pssht who cares about the bridge boys! athal's my new nemisis!!!!

actually, no, no...not gonna say what i was going to say...too dirty....ahem!

fine. I'll at least beat Athal's THIS YEAR run ;)

besides, think of it, i'm just going off of who ran this year to see how far I can go. Okay, so the only cars runnin more horses than mine are Athal's and Ians. And we all know I'm not coming anywhere near Ian's beast! Athal's run is at least within range to me. its POSSIBLE for me to boost Miss Viv up to that.

Shewt, Kat - you should be able to beat Ian's this-year numbers with your car, without too much trouble. A bit of money, maybe, but not much trouble.

lol Matt, that's why I'm going for beating Athal. I don't know if I want to go back to working at slaveway on weekends simply to get my car beating Ians. Let me have SOME quality of life here!

At one point I was actually closer than that. At 10 psi on the chip, I made 175 and 210. Once I upped the boost from what I "safely" run on the street, I made the 183 number, but couldn't have gone too much higher than that - turbo's maxed right the hell out.

I have a fairly low-budget plan that might get you there. $500 max.

Good numbers on a mustang dyno. I'd feel happy if I were everyone...except it appears as though Dale didn't quite make what he had hoped/predicted...interesting.

Sounds like I need to send these hurr turbo oil lines to the prof Doopoo when I make another doopoo batch. Still have to dishwash them...they are DISGUSTING!
