I wish calgary had SOME emissions enforcement. Just because it's always windy here and the pollution never hangs around doesn't mean we don't have a pollution problem! We just send it to skasnatchewan

No, no! It's a proof that they're smart! They know that a V-TEC sticker adds at least 100hp!

Emissions enforcement? Bah! its all a crock of shit. Explain to me why the Lincoln Navigator with its 5.4L motor gets the same rating as a Hyundai? Oh because it goes PER LITER of displacement, not total emission over a given time period.. Its just bullshit.

There should be laws on how many people are allowed to drive alone to work in a 7 seater V8 automatic gas guzzler...

I agree catalytic converters are good for you, and if mine wasn't clogged (or if I could afford a high flow one) I'd have one!

But the way emissions are enforced is useless and almost doesn't make a damn difference to the environment.

Explain to me briefly if I pollute more per liter of gas I consume if I use nitrous oxide, if I have a bigger exhaust system, if I have a better flowing exhaust header, if I have nitrous hooked up, if I have advanced my timing - all that - seriously.

Not that im in a pissy mood or anything :)

you know what i was just thinking...

imagine the scenario in the video...but with Ian G or Dupius getting pulled over...and asked to lift his hood for a "modified engine"

we need to make a parody of this film!!!

won't argue with you there, my point is, some kind of regulations are better than NONE when people are allowed to drive around their smokey, oil burning POS's that pollute 100x worse than an SUV.

I think I paid $40 US for my magnaflow high flow 3" cat

won't argue with you there again, but you're talking about street racing mods, which is what the cops are REALLY trying to crack down on. You think the cops care about emissions? Maybe, but it's the ricer racer's they're going after. You know I'm all about big exhaust, bewst, advanced cam timing etc, but I also run a cat and proper PCV system

omfg? where? I'd be all over that, a high flow cat quiets exhaust down fairly well :)

Oh great, that name is going to stick forever now....

"you don't need to see my identification officer. My exhaust is completely stock. That's not NAWWWS, it's an emission control canister...."

$60, sorry, (free US shipping!) but shop around you might do better. I got mine through Mr. Thomas. Maybe Brad can get stuff too?
