Hi to everyone from Regina!

I've got a Swede-origin '67 131 2 door with an B18D that I picked up out of Ontario in May. I've got a history on it that tracks it back to Gothenburg (or at least Denmark). I've been lurking the forum for a while, and it looks like there's some truly dedicated Volvo fanatics. I hope to post some questions for upgrades, etc. I've got some work to do but I am already impressed with the car. I expect some surprises along the way as well.
Thanks!
David

Hi guys. I may only own Subarus, but at least they're wagons (they at least share a common ancestor: tractors). If all goes well maybe I'll pick up a nice 245 while I'm here.

Welcome to both of you to CVC!!

Hello Volvo fans,

As my username suggests, I am currently driving a BMW , but I am a huge fan of all things automotive since helping my father do a frame up restoration of a 1928 Model A in the mid-1970s. My first car was a 1970 Mustang coupe that I built into a moderately fast street car with every penny I earned mowing lawns etc. In the early '80s, I purchased a pair of Volvo rectangular headlight assemblies (31cm x 17cm) from Halford and Valentine Volvo here in Calgary, intending to do a custom installation of them on the Mustang; they would have fit perfectly in the height of the grill. I never got around to the installation, so the headlights have been stored ever since (30+ years!). While web surfing to see if there is any demand for the lights, I discovered that the original part numbers are no longer available, and 240/260 owners are resorting to rebuilding original headlights or installing plastic-lensed aftermarket units. I would like to see my pair of headlights used as they were intended, so I will be selling them immediately. Here is some additional detail on the lights:

Part numbers: 1235050 & 1235051
Lens description: 31cm W x 17cm H, Glass, "Cibie" cast into lower center of lens, "VOLVO" cast into lower RHS of each lens
Body of lights: metal finished in a bergundy color, stamped with "Made in France" in white, complete with black plastic mounting brackets, and top adjustment screw
Bulbs: high- and low-beam H1 bulbs installed in both headlights

I would appreciate some feedback from you guys as to a fair selling price for the pair of headlights. I want to sell them as a pair, and prefer to sell them locally (Calgary and area) to avoid potential shipping damage. One of the lights is still in its original Volvo box, but the other box is long gone. I can post a few pictures of the pair this evening.

Cheers,
BMW Guy

Hi everyone:

Been loving my 93 945 for the last 2 years. What a great car. I used to be only a Mopar guy back in the muscle car days. Not no more. Been in Calgary for a little over a year. Looking forward to getting to know a few more Volvo lovers.

Active board we've got here, huh? LOL!

There are only a few actually located in Calgary, many more who don't come here every day. We've got lots of members in the Lethbridge/Medicine Hat region, some in Sascratchmybum, even one "back east". We're not at all like the Northern Mopars.

And one from the left coast...that doesn't even own a Volvo anymore!

Share some pics of the last best wagon ever made!

Welcome aboard. There is a lot of knowledge and patience on this forum. What are you interested in specifically? Models? Vintage/new?

Hello everyone. My name is Nick, I live in Calgary and own two 244s and previously a '90 745.
My daily driver is a beige '85 244 B23F AW71. Also have a project maroon '84 244 B21A M47 that I am currently in the process of putting a '91 B230FT into.

Welcome aboard Nick. Always glad to have new members in the club. Lots of information on the swap your working on is coming when I get a chance to write it all up.

Craig
