Check the pics...Anyone know what a "***** thornton power-lock differential" is?
Rare option maybe?

A quick Google netted me this: It's a Spicer-Thornton Power-Lok, originally (optionally?) equipped in Jeeps in the '50s. That would make a certain amount of sense here. If it's like the other Dana-Spicer diffs, it's a cone style limited slip unit. Apparently the Thornton were the superior units to the later versions of the Dana-Spicer Power-Lok.
