Hey everyone,

It's been a LONG time since I've been to this site and even longer since I last posted. I hope everyone and their Volvos are doing well.

I was out at a place just at the east edge of town working yesterday when I came across what looks to be a pretty solid 142, not sure what year. White with auto trans, brown interior. Body looks quite good as does the interior. Not sure what the mileage is and I doubt there's any keys for it.

It was being stored at a storage yard but the owners haven't paid storage fees for a few years so the people who own the yard would like to sell it off to get some money out of it. They are nice people and will be happy to get something out of it. You could probably get it pretty cheap.

Come to think of it I think they said they had to go and get a court order or something to be legally able to sell it. They have a bunch of abandoned cars, trailers and RVs that they also want to get rid of so they're thinking about getting permission to do that soon (i.e. within the next month or two). They are thinking of having an auction but they said I could have first dibs at anything they have to auction off so if someone wants this 142 then I can get that set aside for you so you don't have to buy it at the auction.

Attached are some pics of it.

PM me if you want the deets on where it is and contact info for the people to talk to.

Roj

Looks pretty nice. Rust in all the usual places. I never noticed how the grill styling ques were so reminiscent of the 122...but then I haven't seen one that BIG on my screen before. I'll pass, but this would make a cool car for someone.

No idea, Roj posted it up but he hasn't been around since. You could try PM'img him and see if he has his PM's forwarding to his email. After this long my guess is it's long gone.
