hey guys, just seeing if anyone has a 240 or 740 shell laying around, i am in need of one because the frame on my silver car is just way to toast to repair.... not picky on the body style but has to be manual (i would rather not do a pedal swap ) if anyone knows of one that has a good frame and okay body please let me know asap, i am moving out of town soon and would love to bring a brick with me. i know this is the best place to keep an eye out for one. again thank you!

I've got one...an '88 244 with an M47. Solid car. I won't be getting rid of it until I get everything done to my 740 and that could be a month away...

My daughter is planning on selling her 89 740 m47, white over blue. Pretty solid car with < 300K (I think it's around 280?), no rust but the hood and driver's fender are creased but not too bad. Car drives very solid, has new W/S, W/P, battery, clean interior with solid seats (the heaters and lumbar actually all work!!! lol) but the usual 740 droopy headliner. Two sets of rims with summer/winter tires.

I also have a 90 244 m47, burgundy over black, that needs to go as well, no idea on km's (typical 240 non working ODO, I would estimate ~350K). Turbo sways, poly bushings everywhere but the TAB's, Bilstein TC's in front KYB GAJ's in the rear, new(er) alt/WP/TB/Battery/Front brakes (Pads,rotors, calipers), iPd Sport catback exhaust, full size Tach. Has some rust in the PS rocker, around the W/S and in the rear fender lips but all surface, the frame/underside is good. Two sets of rims with summer/winter tires, the summers are Virgos.

Oh and that leaves just the red wagon, new 240 and GT (assuming you're having the 240 turbo junked)...right?

Yup, Doctor Phil feels that it's for the best I relinquish my CVC mantle of ownership. And if you're wondering about my daughter's 740 being for sale, and the saga of the errant monster truck driving roommate. Her boyfriend is buying a brand new truck for her to drive under the premise that it will be a backup truck in case his current truck (98 Dodge Cummins) goes down and will be sized so he can just slide his welding skid over to the other truck if required. My response was meh, WAAAYYY too much money being made/spent but whatever...

if i could convince my mom to let me fill the yard up with Volvo's i would buy all of them... you're 780 is to beautiful for a young punk like me...



i might be interested in that 244 you got there. just really looking for something that can replace my piece of poop civic as well.

Right now I'm thinking $2000 for the 244 for the work that's gone in to it. My daughter is looking for $800 OBO for the 744 with the body damage, but it's a solid car otherwise that has had a lot of stuff done recently. The 740's in Hinton but she said she would deliver as far as Red Deer.
