Saw this on kijiji this morning and thought someone might be interested in a decent older 244. The seller is Unico (Rod) on here, although he doesn't post anymore I see he still logs in occasionally. For $250 this is a steal for what I believe is a decent car. I think he got this at Airport PnP in Lethbridge and I remember Pat saying it was a nice car that didn't need too much work to be decent. From the ad description it looks like Rod has caught up some stuff, the interior looks good in the pics. Rod's a good guy to deal with and if you buy the car you're welcome to come and get the missing PS sail window off of my parts car.

Cheap! If its not too rusty, with a bit of work it might be okay.

I don't think there's much if any rust, can't say for sure. One other thing I thought Pat said is that the ODO works and is accurate. If that's the case (165K km) it's hardly broken in, a quick call to Pat at PnP would confirm as I might be thinking of another car but I believe it was this one.

The car started getting surface rust on the drivers side in the past year. The car was from pyp. I bought it, drove it home then it progressively started breaking down. I have replaced a lot of parts.

New parts
discs(brembo's), pads, rubber lines, steel lines from side to side
tie rods, outers, ball joints(neither installed)
vol reg for alt
both fuel pumps
wires, plugs, rotor, cap used(new didnt fit)
used iac
used injector harness(spare)
volvo hard plastic floor mats
dash cover
used good condition michelins from pyp
tool for tank bung nut
im sure im forgetting something
timing belt
accessory belts
ac recharged but can hear hissing sound inside passenger footwell when turned on

The od was working till the first winter we had it. I went to panarama with it once and drove it to work for a month until i realized it wasnt bad gas that was causing my running issues, it was the busted 1 inch rubber hose in the tank. I am estimating there is an aditional 4k kms. OD works good.

It had a new clutch put in at 142,000kms by the previous owner. There are some service records between 2000-2006.

I bought it because of the low miles to fix up for tiffany, but i have already spent over $1200 in new parts. There isnt much more that it needs to solve the current problems but its more than i want to spend. If you changed the timing belt, it would drive home, i wouldnt chance it on the one it has.

Hey Rod, good to see you posting again. Yeah, I figured for $250 it wasn't going to be mint. Too bad you've done so much and are giving up, although I understand where you're coming from. Hopefully you find a dedicated buyer and it doesn't get squished. GLWS.

can't even give it away... Too much invested to give it away for nothing, and too many new parts to let it get crushed. A friend and I decided to chop it up into a pickup! Have rear door glass, door panels, pwr motors, and seat available.

I'm going to do something similar to the 780 soon, let me know how it turns out.
