I just bent the BBS 5 spoke alloys on my 740 D24T against a curb after sliding out on some ice. Would anyone out there have a couple of these wheels and willing to part
with them. They are 18mm offset. OR would anyone have a full set of 15-16" alloys for a 740 for sale. They are holding air, no chunks out of them and I heard there is a company in Calgary that repairs alloy wheels. Has anyone dealt with them and how good are they. I'm including a pic of one of the wheels FYI. Have to go back to stock 14" wheels until I find wheels or get these repaired but would have to buy full set of winter tires for the 14's. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Miss driving my Waldo already. :(

Alberta Wheel Repair is among the best, from what I understand, but are also not cheap. And they'll make the one wheel look like new, so you'll have to redo the rest. You're better off buying new wheels unless you're REALLY attached to these. It can't be ruled out completely but you're not likely to find another one of those.

Yeah, I really do like these and would like to keep them, they match the car so well but I also like the 15" 740 multi-spoke wheels also and there's a 740 with those wheels down here that is quite rough and running on a de-turboed engine with auto tragic tranny and I think it's getting a little tired cause it has sold quite a few times in just a few years. I'm keeping my eye on it and hope I catch it before is hits the recyclers.

Old ad for 10-spokes in the Hat. Might be worth a call.

Thanks Chris, looked them up and sent a post. They look like the ones off the 740 that I mentioned to Ugly Duck. Just have to wait for reply now.

Chris, talked to the seller of those wheels and bought them. There are 5 wheels, I guess the spare was an alloy also.
He's bringing them into town this Tuesday. All I have to do is remove the black paint from them back to silver or grey as he calls them. We'll see.
Thanks again for the tip. Pic enclosed.

Not my favorite, they look like wagon wheels. Hope I can still get my BBS wheels repaired.

Think they will look less wagonish after a repaint. One of, if not, the lightest 15" rims Volvo made. Nice pickup.

Well, I got my 10 spoke Volvo wheels, see picture above for reference. The fella was bringing his daughter to town so brought the wheels in right to my garage. One has a slight mark on outside of rim but other than that they look good, just have to strip the black paint of them and figure what colour would look best, maybe even natural, we'll have to see. It's nice to have 5 wheels just in case of another curber but will still look into whether the BBS's can be repaired and how much. I think they suit the car much more than the 10 spokers. Paid $100 for all five and they are the ones that I've been chasing that were on the 740 I described earlier. This fella bought the car cheap cause the owner didn't change the belt. He put another belt on it and it runs fine but didn't like the wheels; to my advantage. Thanks for the tip again, Chris.
