Time to thin out the herd once again, although the last time I did this I replaced the departed with another the next day. Up for sale is a 1990 Volvo 745Ti with an automagic transmission in the desirable 601 red over black leather. Currently sitting at 340xxx km.

The good stuff, it has Bilstein HD's all around with new strut mounts, summer and winter tires mounted on their own rims. Just replaced the turbo with another 13c from a low mileage car so it's nice and tight. Paint shines up pretty nice for it's age, although it's obviously had some paint work done over the years. One spot of surface rust above the wheel well on the DS rear, the underbody is quite clean as it was a West coast car originally. The leather is in very nice shape given the age as well. All of the usual maintenance has been done like TB/WP, fuel pumps, motor/transmission mounts, completely cleaned PCV/flametrap etc. A compression test last year showed a strong engine with 149/150/149/150 psi, witnessed by Craig if anyone needs validation. I've been running Mobil 1 0w40, the higher useage from before appears to have been the turbo as it's hardly moving since the swap. Comes with a factory dog gate installed and all 4 Volvo floor trays. Just installed a good use battery with a 2013 build date, it's an 825a monster that just fits.

Some current issues are a drivetrain vibration issue that hasn't been totally solved by all new mounts, intake manifold gasket replacement, it's not real bad but it's noticeable. The muffler and tailpipe rusted off but the rest of the system looks good and I have a new muffler/tailpipe. The temp gauge isn't working which seems to coincide with the turbo replacement so I'll see if I can find the cause there. The seat heater on the DS is inop, the PS gets warmish only. The AC gets cool but not cold, it is converted to 134a so a new compressor should get it cold. Paint on the tailgate is flaking off where the Alu is oxidized.

Ahh yes...I remember that. Wasn't sure if it had been changed or not.

So I am checking my ad for the hit count this morning and I find my exact ad posted with a Calgary cell number as the contact. I contacted kijiji on their chat and they removed the ad right away. How do you copy an ad exactly, does this mean my account was hacked? My original ad is fine, and I don't see any thing odd on my account. I'm tempted to call the cell number they used, but don't want to give them any of my numbers via call display. Seems coincidental this happening as I was ignoring some ricer (I backchecked his email addy) who emailed with an $800 offer that I refused then sent an email with "$1000?" that I never responded to. Thoughts?

I wouldn't worry too much, a few months ago someone in Edmonton was using the photo's of my engine to advertise his engine for sale. I asked if he had stolen it out of my car…he didn't get the poke - not that bright I guess.

I guess, but this wasn't using my photos in their ad, it WAS my ad exactly. Only change was the Calgary cell number as a contact with my email contact as I never use my phone number in the ad. It was my ad exactly with the added cell number. Dunno, maybe it was some glitch inside kijiji, just seemed like a spoof ad intended to mislead buyers coinciding with me ignoring some little twit lobbing out low ball offers.

FWIW just did an oil change (synthetic) and installed the new muffler and tailpipe. Also the temp gauge is working again, not sure why it wasn't before?
