Holy grail, boys...

Still gets me that people selling a car can't give it even a quick wash before taking pics? That said a slicktop, stick "92" with the all black trim...

This has been up for awhile and is kind of interesting. At first thought it was weird as it was not an original R color but was definitely an R, turns out it is the quite rare Cosmos Blue. Not sure what happened to the Peg's and he dropped the price to $13.6K not long after listing it, then raised it to the current $14.3K as he claims to have had it inspected and repaired everything they found. Only has 133K on it and lists new front struts, angle gear reseal, clutch inspection, TB service etc. Looks like a motivated seller who's trying to make it right for sale? Price might be on the high side for an 04 but if he's done all of the work he claims to have....

Yup. That '92 is tempting.

The R is a guy Jordan knows I think. He works or used to work at the Edmonton dealership. Jordan posted it on Facebook and told people to buy it, so I'm suspecting he knows a thing or two about it, or has worked on it. Very rare colour indeed! I suspect its fairly tidy. I'm guessing the Pegs are the summer wheels and the ones in the photo are winters?

Edit: Nope, the ad says all-seasons. Weird.

This car is back up again. Cleanest diesel I've ever seen.

Mmmmmm... Cosmos Blue. Had no idea they came in this colour, and it's the best yet. Much nicer than Magic Blue...

If it only came in the later 2006+ with all the improvements that went with it. Hell of a car for the price as is though - just gorgeous.

Pity about the pegs, and no idea why its sitting so high in the back.

Yup I know that R. The previous owner got rid of the Pegs and uses those wheels year around. It has had everything done that was needed to be done, down to replacing the worn out carpet at the dead pedal.

Its a goofy colour, that's why I wouldn't buy it. But mechanically, it is a nice car.

The owner was a former service adviser, and is now in sales. He just leased a new V60 R design- I bet you he would wiggle on the price.

If someone were serious, I'd go talk with him for you.

Bad timing after house renos, or I'd be very tempted to upgraupgrade my 00R. As for goofy colour - that colour looks awesome!

Agreed, it's no Sonic Blue, but still nice.

Very nice price on a lowish mile 93 245 Classic on the wet coast. I'd even forgive the autotragic...

GASP!!! Oh my....that is great. Smoking deal really if its functioning correctly.

Worn out carpet at the dead pedal seems to be pretty common. My XC had it at around 140k. The rubber mats don't quite cover the area right below, so all the crap on your shoes goes right to that spot, and while your foot is on the dead pedal, it just grinds away at that spot. Been thinking about replacing mine with the R Nordkap carpets.

Yeah, unless there's something going on ie"Salvage title" etc. it can't last long at that price. If it all checks out that's a screaming deal.

I suppose, when we sold the 02 at 17xK I don't remember it being that bad but couldn't say for sure anymore. I know "someone" who tore a hole in the carpet behind the gas pedal in a 744 from repeatedly pushing herself back with a high heel, pretty sure she could destroy the carpet over the dead pedal in a V70 without much effort...

Just a little heads up on this car. I looked at it when the original owner was selling it she had it listed for $800 and I was gonna buy it. I went and looked at the car twice before deciding to pass. From what I could tell the water pump was leaking. The alternator wasn't charging. Had very loud tapping until it was warmed up (more than normal I thought) we ran it for a good 30-45 min and coolant was ice cold. She also told me it consumed lots of oil and the boost gauge didn't seem to show the turbo making boost. SPARE wheel well was rusted out. Shifter reverse lockout was broken. Multiple trim pieces and lights broken. It's also been in a front end collision with a cop on deerfoot.
