Wonder what it will go for ?
Looks like a very nice sorted car. But then again I am partial to wagons.

Very nice. Not much info on the suspension, agree with the one comment about dropping the rear some more to get rid of the rake. I like the interior except for the diamond plate, ick! Curious to see where it ends up as well, will it break the 10K glass ceiling? Have to laugh at some of the comments ie: should return it to stock ride height, wheels are too big etc.

Little disappointed that it rubs over bumps, wonder how hard that would be to correct?

My thoughts exactly Jim. I'm not sure how that thing was lowered, but it doesn't look very good. Doesn't really look lowered at all in the back to me. The wheels rub (I'm assuming in the front only) as R brakes won't clear Polaris wheels. The poke on the front wheels makes it pretty clear there are some decent sized spacers on the front to clear those brakes. And no brake upgrade on the back? Yeesh. That diamond plate has gotta go. Otherwise I kinda dig the interior upholstery. I don't think this is nice enough to go over 10k. A very clean bone stock car would command more $.

Yeah for the price (I think he bought it for close to $10K last year?) it should have had the suspension sorted out. If you look at the one undercarriage shot at the front the sway bar looks stock? Should be lowered properly, iPd sways, Bils or Konis etc, no mention of any of that. I guess while you fix the rake he needs to fix the poke, the rear on a 240 is set in enough without poking the front out more, with stock sways that thing must understeer like crazy?

It can't have any sort of actual aftermarket lowering springs it just looks wrong, almost like the rear is sitting on iPd overloads as it's stupid high. Another thing I noticed is the wheels are bolted on with stock open ended steel lugs... Fuuuggg, you can't spring for some nice tuner lugs to finish off a rare set of Polaris wheels?? I think it's a pretty nice car overall, but I bet if you saw it in person you could pick out a ton of little details that I would expect to be taken care of at the expected price point.

I just want the wheels and brakes. Carter's bagged wagon with a less than stock 302 got $5000. Body wasn't as clean, though.

Yeah, he sold it to our friend Steve in Edmonton, probably around last April.. Now he's building a '27 T sedan with a big block Chev. It's running now, but Steve is stubborn and has had 4 people attempt to tune it, none of which got it close. Runs ok now, but you need a gas mask to ride in it.

Really ??
I wonder what my wagon is worth on the open market ?
At that price I would be at 25 cents to the dollar though..... but we justify this as the love of the hobby, no ?
I have a set of Eikers, I should maybe check to see if they are refinished yet....its been almost a year
In the end, a vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The one on BAT is nice, but probably will need some things, currently bid to $8750...my guess is it goes in the neighborhood of $10-12k.
At that price it would be hard to duplicate... and what does that really buy you these days ?
I am partial to wagons :D and they are a dying breed these days.

Off topic somewhat.... I love that wagon Dale is selling, after driving my friends tired example to Calgary, gotta love the AMG. sounds sexy, looks even better and goes like stink. He has since sold his....too bad I don't have any cash laying around :(

The prices of Volvos are jumping stupid high. I paid like $620 (?) For my 764tic, mint with like 198,000km. Now kijidiots are wanting like $2500 for a total heap, with like 350,000km, and as base model as it can get...

$10.5K and about 4 hours to go...

Wonder if there will be a mad last minute rush up to $12K or more, wouldn't surprise me.

And the market has spoken. Not a bad price I guess, still would have been nice to have a properly sorted suspension to match the HP at that figure...
