Freshening up a 1986 B230FT. Slight bend (surprise) in a couple of the rods. Anybody have a set of the later rods they don't need?

About 3 weeks ago I sent a set to Quebec...darn it. H-beams are super cheap on eBay. That's what I'm running.

Thanks, do you still recommend the ones you sourced for your build? Wasn't planning to go so far with this motor, it had excellent compression and leakdown numbers, ran quiet, was just going to clean up the head etc. and run it (replacing a DD with piston slap and poor test results) until I noticed one of the pistons was slightly cocked.

They are all coming from two factories (from what I understand) and with my B230FT I shopped for price. I think I paid $250 for the set and while I had to chase all of the threads as they shot peened them AFTER threading the holes and dinged up the threads, it wasn't a problem. I have always resisted buying the "ARP 2000" bolts from China or Chinese suppliers. They are most likely FAKE and can't really be trusted. I just buy 1.5" UHL (under head length) 3/8 UNF bolts from my local ARP dealer (don't use the washers) and everything has been fine - they will set you back $80 or so. They were properly sized and the honing was first rate. All were within a gram for weight.
