Being honest, this is more testing the waters than a 'need to sell' post.
1978 242 GT B21F, Kjet BC car, originally sold at Docksteader's Vancouver, registered in BC until I brought it to Alberta a couple years ago. Solid body, but showing surface rust. One bad rust area around the windscreen. Estimated 245,000 km. (Odo shows 180,000ish and not counting, but previous owner told me he figured it had 220,000 when he sold it to me) In March 2016: (when I brought it to alberta) - New brakes (rotors and pads) - New Windshield (still only one chip) - New OEM HD springs - Bluetooth radio/cd player with microphone for handsfree calling About a year ago New Rad, Head Gasket, High Pressure Fuel Pump in the last year. (Still have the old one, which may actually be serviceable) Injectors cleaned. 'Bypass relay' for fuel pump relay. New 2.5" exhaust from the downpipe back, custom built at Carline in the NE, without a resonator. It could use an OEM muffler at the back to quiet it down.
Comes with the car New in box in-tank pump. "Volvo" branded rear mud flaps K-Jet air flow meter and fuel distributor from a running car Spare ignition distributor Spare, new, aftermarket coil Several spare 'green' fuel pump relays 3 sets of Alloy rims: Virgos (240 GT/GLT/Turbo) with summer tires, 10 spoke Novas (early 740 Turbo) powder coated black with good condition studded winter tires, Draco (740 Turbo) wheels with aged gravel tires. There are also a few steelies with winter tires as well, one being a brand new studded spare.
In a nutshell The car is running and driving, I use it regularly both around town and on the highway. Idles high and a bit rough Missing check valve in fuel line so needs to be cranked a while to start Interior is a bit rough, drivers seat cover is torn and worn, but I have a line on replacement seats in good condition for a reasonable price. Odo doesn't work, but speedo does and is accurate. Sounds like it could use suspension bushings and feels like it could use shocks.
Looking to get $2,100 for everything
I'm not looking to part out anything (except maybe the air flow meter and distributor) I will sell it for that, but honestly on the fence about getting rid of it.
