Ordering a couple centerforce clutches for 8.5" flat flywheel (B21,B23,B230 w/M45, M46, M47 gearbox), if anyone is in need the Stage 1 and Dual Friction spec are both equal or less money than a stock sachs assembly and the performance is noticably improved over stock.

Hey, Brad - I will be looking for a Dual Friction and I'm pretty sure Chris Morrison will be too. Maybe even Raz, though his clutch seems to be holding up at the moment.

Did you get yours already or can I pony up the dough for one?

Edit - PM'd as well.

As noted above (thanks,) this does interest me. Along with a flat flywheel at some point.

Ummm...was that really necessary?

Brad's been out of the country for a couple of weeks but I think he's back now. I'm sure he'll get to this eventually...

Brad phoned me tonight and will look into prices tomorrow morning, based on the four of us buying a clutch. Andy, the Stage 1 is a totally stock clutch with a few counterweights on it, basically no better than stock. The Dual Friction is a much improved disc with far more weights on it, and is much grippier. I've never heard of anyone installing a Dual Friction having difficulty breaking them in, if that's what you're worried about.

Anyway, we'll have to move on this pretty quickly because Brad was planning on placing an order this week, so hopefully you're all serious about buying a clutch and can move on it with the speed required. One of us will post back with the results.

I'll use a dual friction then..
Dale, I'm sending the PP to clutchnet and then one or the other will go in the other car.
I would have sent the PP earlier but there was a serious lack of secondary clutch to put in.

Bump.

Brad said he'll get a price, but I guess he's been busy this past week. Anyway, he said he thinks it'll be between $250 and $300 for each.

Houston, if you plan on sticking with the Volvo transmission for now instead of going with the Mustang transmission, and you want a clutch, let me know. You'll also need a different flywheel for your car, probably, so you'd better start looking for a flat flywheel if you've got a stepped one. Chris C can help you figure out if yours is flat or stepped, I imagine.
