I need the 2x3" maschmigger with the ball attached to it for my volvo, so I can tow stuff... who's got one, where do I get one, why do I have to pay a million for one - etc.

You gots mad welding skillz...make your own. Actually, you may not even need to weld it. You might be able to get that dimension raw steel from the scrap pile at Calgary Metal. Then pick up a ball, drill a big-ass hole to mount it and tighten up with your mad wrenchin' skillz... :P

No idea if you're like... making fun of me, or making an actual suggestion?

Ya Raz, it is simple to make, just a length of 2x3 steel tube and a hole. Come over and look at mine, real simple to copy

Go to Auto Value and have a look at their hitch tongues. None of them are "certified and shit", and they don't have to be.

If the welds were holding something there may be a concern, but the design of this unit is a straight peice of 2x3 with a hole for the ball and another hole for the pin, very simple and "idiot" proof

I have an "OEM volvo" hitch for both a 240 and my 945ti. The instructions are hilarious and in swedish...I thought it couldn't take much mass or weight until I realized it was in kg
I can tell you that it weights about a beelllllion pounds though.
I have a couple of photos that I have of my OEM volvo off the car while I refinished it and some drawtite that I found in the garage...I have too many volvo parts for being almost volvoless.
