A few years ago we bought a JVC home theater in a box. It worked great and performed surprisingly well for what it was. A couple of months ago the DVD player crapped out so I'm sitting here with a reasonable sounding speaker system and nothing to run it. We've subsequently bought another dvd player but I need something that I can power my speakers with again. Do any of you have a surround sound receiver you want to sell? I don't need something that will blow out the windows, I just need something to process the surround sound and will power 5 speakers and a subwoofer...

If you put it in the basement like mine you do not have to worry about windows

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I don't have a million dollars to spend.

I want something simple that will decode surround sound and power my itty bitty JVC home theater speakers. The subwoofer has a built-in amp so I don't even need that much power. I was just thinking you, or someone you knew, had upgraded recently and might want to unload an old receiver for cheap...
