As a present to Mike from Florida I had a CVC dash Plaque made. The ones pictured below are prototypes so they are NOT perfect (note the brass colored square in the lower corner of the black plaque).

These are laser engraved about the size of a business card and available in either black with brass lettering or brass with black lettering with an adhesive backing. Cost will depend on quantity but the initial order will be $10 each with the possibility of an additional 20% reduction if the order is big enough (I am good at negotiating )

In the new year I will talk with the engraver about small run custom, just realize there is a "set-up" fee and the price for each plaque up to 12 is $15 ea. I made the $10 ea offer predicting there will be at least 10 ordered (which I am sure there will be). I will also talk with the engraver about a number of custom runs in small quantity, may be able to negotiate a deal. What will be important is that the artwork is in a format that can be used and minimizing their rework of any design.

Ok, I am very confused and disappointed.
There was a lot of discussion when we were forming the club and an image was agreed upon for the main webpage.


Since the design of the dash plaque has to use line drawings a "representation" of a Volvo was used but an attempt was also made to keep the design consistent and generic enough to maintain the general design of the initial logo. Since a large majority of the group drives either 200 series or wagons, and since the majority are modified to some extent I felt the image was appropriate and almost everyone could relate to it. Thanks to those members who are interested

Now if you all want custom dash plaques, that is fine, I can definitely arrange it, but I don't know many of you that would want to spend $60+ on something like this just to better represent their own car. My offer to the club was to cover all the initial costs and commit to having 12 made, if no-one wants them I understand and will eat those costs. Look at the logistics of every model, 100, 200, 700, 900, 850 ... and each one in a sedan or wagon, someone come up with $600 and I will look after it

Seriously we could design and have a different dash plaque for each year of the club. It would be simple to add dates and then over the years every model could be incorporated into a plaque. We could even start charging a nominal membership fee that would include a plaque to members who pay .. but that is a different story and probably should not be discussed here.

Anyway sorry for the rant

however that 245 depicted is FUGLY, and i would never want something like that, if you know how much stupid volvo crap i own, you would understand that i do buy a lot of volvo related stuff
