I feel like this car has been advertised before on Kijiji, as I remember seeing a lower mileage green '76 245 at some point. I'm half wondering if its the one that was for sale in Coaldale a while back. I really wish I had jumped on that one sooner...

No problem'o, I was wondering as well if it might be the car from East L.A. Would be a pain if it was for the price and distance away, should be able to get someone up north to go take a peek if it's not a beater once the pics are up.

Man am I hailed out, the car is in Calgary not Edmonton. Greg, it's got to be the "Coaldale" car, how many green 76, 245's come up anywhere let alone within 250 km's and a couple of months of each other.

Yeah, good point....seems pretty unlikely there would be two '76 green 245's for sale in such close succession. Kinda sucks if the guy bought it just to re-sell for more money. I think the Coaldale car was going for $600 if I remember correctly.

It was listed for $500 obo, it was a block away from me and i never ever saw it around. I was pretty bumed when it was sold hours after it was listed.

Hey Greg, not sure how close you've been watching this car, they re-posted yesterday with ONE!! picture taken from across the street (and around the block it was so far away ). Just noticed it's re-posted again this morning without the picture (WTF??) but the price is lowered to $800. All in all seems kinda weird or they're just plain stoopid???

Weird. The pic is there now, and yeah, you can't really see much unfortunately. Glad to see the price is coming down though! Thanks for keeping an eye on this Jim...I hadn't checked it recently.

I phoned there tonight, and the kid I talked to knew nothing about the car, and despite asking, the other two people in the house were unwilling to talk about the car. I asked who owned it...and the answer was pretty unsure. Sketchy. Mileage is now listed at 250,000.

Yeah it sure seemed flaky, although you never know could still be worth having someone from Calgary having a look if you're really interested. With the way they are marketing the car they probably aren't getting much interest so you may be able to scoop it cheap, if it's any good.

Just checked out the location on the map and its right in the heart of Forest Lawn, i'm pretty sure that if I went there to look at it I would be leaving on foot without my car as well.

Yeah Andy, I noticed the location as well. Just adds to the sketchiness of the whole thing. I'm still sure that car is from Coaldale though, so I'm hoping they haven't contaminated it with their Forest Lawn sketchiness.

Jim, I'm hoping you're right, that they haven't gotten much interest and they'll let it go for cheap. Fingers crossed.

I had noticed the location before as well, I had thought of saying if you could get a couple of people, for safety sake, to go and check it out.

Apparently the Calgary cops call it Vietlawn, so much for all of their sensitivity training.
