Or you could just adapt another cable-operated valve from something else out of the junkyard, something that isn't an on-off switch without the capillary control? Do a little pioneering, you might just come up with something that's cheap, works great, and benefits the community as a whole.

what about the 740 firewall vacuum valve? Regulate it with a wire instead of vacuum?
