Hey guys, i've still been looking for a new DD. Today I'm going to cal some guys.
On buysell there is:

A) 1986 VOLVO 760 turbo wagon. sunroof, leather seats, winter and summer tires. good running condition.$750.00 obo please contact Mike at 710-4347. $750. obo. calgary ab

Yes yes, I know auto....but it'd be fun (viks going to love me :p)

or

B) 83 Volvo GL, 4 dr, std, OD, 4 Blizzak tires, great winter car, lots of new parts, $549, call Ron eves Tel: 403‑208-3936

New blizzaks alone are worth this price, who knows if they are new though haha.

'83GL has a sucky engine, but it can mostly be fixed with a camshaft. Other than that, and the fact that it's not a wagon, it's got my vote.

Didn't the B23E have a K cam?

well....700 series....check....turbo....check....wagon issue does come up....as i do prefer the sdan's for a DD and wagon for a winter car

but hey...sounds like an alright price....just make sure you check everything! (turbo, rust, etc, etc, etc)

ciao

the 240 will be more reliable and easier to work on. They dropped the k-cam in '83 for some reason raz, it will only have an A, or maybe even an M cam.
When it's running, the 760 will be MUCH nicer, but with the turbo, crappy wiring, more relays and electrical bits, you're looking at bigger headaches down the road. Unless alot of that stuff has already been taken care of/upgraded...

I lean towards the wagon Andy, but yea - only if it has a decent harness, turbo seems happy, doesn't burn or leak anything - etc.

I've got a K cam somewhere :) if not, I'll be you a gillion that Dale has atleast seventeen in a case of cams somewhere :D So, the 240 with the nice torquey B23E might not be a bad lil car.
