where my feet tried to be.

i broke tib/fib right leg, crushed right foot, many broken/crushed ribs, collapsed lung, cut tendon in left hand.

i now have learned to wear my seatbelt, however... i kind of got hit in the face with a dodge 2500. a seatbelt wouldnt have helped much, i assure you.

t bone 2003 dodge 2500 into passenger side 1996 ford f-150 - ford lost, big time.

ouch.

Wow - you're a lucky boy. If it was something other than a truck, I'm sure the results would have been much worse.

ow ow ow.

Thats scary. I didn't used to wear my seatbelt as much. I do now. After a friend fell asleep the other night and hit somthing head on in the front seat and hit the windshield not going real fast. You can't replace your brain, you can replace any car. I don't care what you say. If you hit something at any speed, you are going through the windsheld. Side-on, yeah maybe it won't help that much.

I'm scared to death now that I'm visiting my parents in portland driving in the city. Soooo many cars close together. Honestly, I think I need a couple drinks to get on the road here (kidding)...way scarier than the country where I live. Recently, a motorcyclist was killed in the neighborhood a couple blocks from our house. It is a blind hairpin and someone ran the stop sign. I immediately called my good friend and neighbor who is an avid motorcyclist. It wasn't him, he is alive. I try my best to be careful and leave lots of room at big intersections, but people are retarded and run signs and make big ugly messes on the highways here. I don't think people fully appreciate the physics of a 40+mph crash, having watched a couple unfold in front of me at intersections.

Good lesson for everyone.

That seat belt will also keep you from flying over and playing coconuts with the drivers head or steering wheel...
