Hello Guy

I'm new to the forum and its great that we have a club here in calgary horay.
Looking foward to meeting some of you guys in the future.
I have an 84 240 with a b21ft and i just installed a new wiring harness from ipd and a new feeder pump in the tank as well as a new fuel pump relay (green).
I also did the change on the clip for the pressure regulator in behind the distributor as they are manufactured backwards at ipd.
But the car will not start now!!!!!!
I disconnected the fuel lines at the filter and i'm getting fuel.
And as well the car has new msd wires, msd coil, plugs and cap and rotor.
The car did start before i did the harness and feeder pump.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

You don't have your cold start injector and your control pressure regulator plugs hooked up backwards, do you? The CPR plug is powered whenever the ignition is on and the CSI plug is only powered when the thermal time switch allows power from the starter to open the injector. Getting those mixed up would obviously result in the cold start injector spraying fuel as long as the ignition is turned on (that's a bad thing)...

Your feeder pump is actually pumping fuel and not hooked up backwards, right? If it's not pumping fuel that's at least better than if it's trying to draw it away from the main pump. Pull the wire to the main pump (under the back seat, unscrew the ground or pull the connector) and pull the hose to the main pump, and jumper the pumps. You should have good steady flow from the feeder pump. You do have fuel at the filter, so my money's not on this one.

Otherwise, start at the basics. Check for spark, check for spark timing, check for firing order, and check for fuel at the injectors. Other than a slipped timing belt (could happen if your engine backfired after all your work), that's about all that would prevent that engine from running.
