Hello Everyone,
My name is Henry. Just want to say hi. I returned to Calgary last year after living in Denver CO for 2 years, and brought a Volvo back with me. Had the opportunity to meet some of the CO folks from Swedespeed. Looking forward to have a chance to meet the Calgary Volvo Club members here.

Well, a bunch of us are down in Lethbridge - it's a small but mighty group to be sure. At our Seasonal Gathering we had 24 people (ish - Ian will correct me). Damn I wish I was closer to come up for the BP thing. I've threatened before - some one call a meeting for April some time and I'll do what I can to come up. I took the 122 out of mothballs last weekend. Still smiling :D .

The January meet saw 30 members and guests attend, our last meeting at BP we could have bought a single pitcher of beer and had some left over. You might say the gatherings are inconsistent ](*,)

I understand. Small clubs usually have similar issues. Are the majority of the members from Lethbridge? May be this should be Lethbridge Volvo Club instead? Let me know when the next BP meet is, I'll come join you. What do you do as a club?

Nope, there are only a few of us - but we are social.

Hey Henry, welcome aboard!

What kind of Volvo do you have and what made you buy it? :D

Used to be that the majority were from Calgary, but now we're probably just the large minority. A few Calgary members have dropped completely out, some are 75% gone, and one or two have moved away. There are probably more active members in Lethbridge plus Edmonton than in Calgary now.

Edit - oh, and welcome!

I'm very active, I work out several times a week!

I'm up for BPs, or if we want to do a spring drive through highwood or something (when does it open?). Or loop through Nanton and over the 547(?) with lunch at Longview? Maybe some LA'ers would meet us in Nanton for the fun part and lunch?

I'd be up for a Spring drive some weekend... I might be able to persuade a few Edmonton guys to head down, too!

Thank you for the welcome. Let me know if you guys going for a drive, I would be very interested.

DarrenK:
I picked up a V70R. This is my 1st Volvo and I really like it. I was looking for a wagon with omphs at the time, test drove most of the available high performance wagons. The VR has the best fit of what we are looking for, performance, utility, comfort, and stealthness.
