With the newest parts car coming on Saturday I need to make some room, so the 740ti (aka Roj's neighbors car) has to go as 7 is NOT a lucky number according to my wife, also the Town informed me I will need a dealers license if I add any more vehicles. If anyone wants anything off this car let me know, although as usual I have left this to the last minute and the car is in Coaldale so I apologize for the short notice.

I am keeping the rims, seats, fog lights, side trim, door pockets and whatever else looks useful on the interior. The car has 323K on it and to be honest doesn't appear to have led a charmed life. I haven't done a compression test on the motor but for everything else about the car it runs very smoothly. The transmission feels as sloppy as a (insert your own analogy here) and was rebuilt not too long ago which does not inspire any confidence in the shop that did the work. The body isn't too hot as there is a fair amount of rust and the drivers fender is munched.

 Yup, I'm listening. So the car runs good Jim? Have you done many miles on it?
Craig, you into a trip to Coaldale sometime to do a compression test?

Sure thing...I'm up in Calgary for the BP thingy, then back Saturday afternoon. We could do it tomorrow evening if you're free and Jim is free.

^^^ Tomorrow works for me although it won't start now, was running fine last fall but I dumped some gas in as it was getting low and I probably stirred up some crap on the bottom of the tank. I don't have any miles on the car as I trailered it here and got it running, as it needs an OOP I never took it any further so it runs good (when it starts) but that's all I can tell you.

Hmmm. Tonight probably won't work for me. Could we do it Saturday night?

I know we discussed this earlier... unless there is something obviously wrong with the hood, that the photo doesn't show, would you hold it for me? Thanks!

No sorry we're out Saturday night. I was kinda hoping to strip what I could this week and use the u-haul to take this car to PnP Saturday for the $50 to cover the trailer rental. That said I left this too late to get everything stripped off especially a motor so I can wait for a bit, but I do need to move relatively quick as I will have NINE vehicles here when the 240ti gets here.   If you had access to a dolly that would be swell (too old to say sweet  ) I could still drag it to PnP when we're done for my $50 reward.

I would rate the hood as OK but not great. There is a small dent about 6" below the passenger squirter, a bit of a crease (not too noticeable) above the latch, some rust along the leading edge which is mostly surface except for one twoonie sized bubble that could be ground off and touched up. Also some wet sanding marks where I was playing around taking out some scratches but haven't buffed out. Let me know if that sounds passable to you.

The fact that it's the right colour for my needs makes it more than passable. Too bad about the fender. How are the driver side doors?

They have been re-painted, poorly, at one time and are noticeably lighter than the rest of the car. Rust spots under/around the side trim moulding as well as along the bottom edges where it's crunchy in spots. No dents but that's about the best thing I could say about them, the passengers are the same but without the repaint.

Chris will come and get the car as far as I know. Greg and I can come and pull that engine, but this weekend is just the wrong time. Can you wait until Monday? We really don't want it going to the yard with good parts like the engine attached. Give us a chance... [-o<

No worries, like I said my fault for leaving this so late, PnP isn't getting anything that we don't want first. I am also having problems getting a uhaul trailer (surprise, surprise) so not sure if I will be able to get the next parts car tomorrow now. Not a single one at any location in the bridge and none has any desire to bring one in, I love uhaul CS....NOT. Starting to think of borrowing a dolly and dropping the driveshaft but would rather not go down that road literally and figuratively. (wow that was bad...)

So like I said don't worry about the car sitting here for awhile longer, if you show up and I'm not here and Lisa answers the door with a handful of documents with those blue corner thingys with the yellow "Sign Here" stickys, work quick....

P.S. Chris, not to put words in your mouth, do you want the carcass when we're done or just the hood as we discussed? If you do it needs to go sooner than later, say 1-2 weeks max? The hood by itself I can sit on for awhile longer.
