Seems to me that 960s have a front crossmember reinforcing bracket that will bolt straight onto a 940 (and 740???) Are those on that car?

If they are, they'll go on my 740... I'll have a look though...

by some odd stroke Craig ends up not grabbing the bellhousing, i'd like it to work out a possible manual tranny swap for the PV.

But please, give it to the guy who'll actually use it first ;)

I could use a few spare coil packs and maybe an ignition module to carry in the tool box just in case...

How are the engine and transmission mounts, any good?

Cam position sensor at the back of the head? The connector crumbled on mine and is now held in place with silicone.

What radio do you have in there? The FM band is intermittent on mine.

I'd also go for the dasboard switch bulbs...

Cheers,

Richard

Bellhousing will definitely be used so I'm afraid that's a no go...

Still have lots of coil packs and ignition modules.

Passenger side engine mount seems ok. I noticed the cables had slipped off the driver side mount. I don't know if that means the mount has collapsed and haven't had a chance to look at them. No idea on the transmission mount. Will know more on that when we pull the transmission in a week or so.

Cam position sensor was ok when I pulled it. Connectors seemed to be fine. $25?

It's got the stock radio/cassette. The radio part works fine. Never tried the cassette. Looks like this...

$20?

Most of the switch bulbs are burned out. That was on the list of things to do. I've got a bunch of white LEDs that I wired into some switches on the 740. Seem to work fine...

Radio won't fit, mine is double din like the 850...

I'll take the cam sensor, 3 coil packs and an ignition module for now.

If you need an 850 cassette radio, I've got one. You can even have the code to make it work!

Dale - I might take your radio. The one in the 780 may be a bit crispy, and that one might work in it's place. I'll try to remember to bring mine over to compare.

Just crossed my mind that the steering column/lock could be a useful thing. The lock on Rosalee's 940SE (same body as the 960) froze up last fall in Kelowna, had to get it towed and the ign switch drilled out. (Excellent ex-factory indie mechanic there btw.) How are the headlights? Is it the style with fogs?

I'm not going to the trouble of pulling some of that stuff. If you want to come and pull it yourself, be my guest. The headlights were horrible. The foglights were good. They've been replaced by a set of e-codes from Europe. They will be going in my 740, provided they fit...

It's a single DIN with the pull tabs on the side. Not sure what year they switched to this style. I do have the code for it. I think I wrote it on the bottom of the radio...

My radio looks just like the one you posted a link to, except for the "anti theft" part.

Is that an SC-811? I've got the 815 but those are apparently prone to that FM glitch.

How much do you want for it?
