Spotted this morning when the temperature. was about -28. Pretty sad sight really. Obviously sits outside. Has been hit on the rear passenger corner. The tail lights are broken and the hatch doesn't close. The old guy driving it was wearing some thick gloves and a big fur hat so I suspect there isn't much heat, if any. I've seen this car numerous times over the last few months. I've never seen it clean. Sad...

Oh man. That's gotta be the same one Matt saw a while back. It begs belief. How on earth that thing even runs in that temperature is beyond me. I remember hearing horror stories of Testarossas even driven in the rain...how they'd fog up. I can't see the 308 being any different. And the electrics? Yikes.

I'm thinking its a riches to rags story, and the guy still owns this car, but can't afford another winter car. Or else he's nuts.

Here's the thing: I found out that I know this guy. I worked with him at my first Drafting job... He's a process engineer, smart as the dickens but quite a bit odd. He's owned (and driven year round) Alfa spiders and Jag XJSs before. I didn't know he had the 308 but another guy I work with (who also worked at Maloney) found out at a party we were all at, but I never got a chance to chat with him. Gary told Scott that he got it for "a good deal". He's got the money...

When I spotted the car earlier this year I never noticed the driver, except that he was wearing winter gear 'cause it was quite cold out.

Kudos to him!
Those pics cracked me up. If he ever sells it the ad could be an interesting read..."Always kept outdoors, always winter driven, some accidents."

I wonder if he thinks 'it's only a 308,' or something. Because, you know, it is only a 308...
