Hi! I'm driving across Canada starting in Toronto, I have made it to Regina but I am loosing oil at about 1 liter every 400 k, it's dripping out the front of the engine and being blown all over by the fan. So it's very hard to find. Also I checked in the timing belt area And there is no oil there. And I can't find where it's coming from. Does anyone have any thoughts? And I can blow through my oil trap so I don't think it's clogged.

When you say you checked the timing belt area did you take the cover off or just look around the outside? Being a turbo it could be leaking at the oil feed/return line for the turbo or the lines to the oil cooler from the filter housing. If it's either of those things the PS side of the block, oil filter etc. should be covered in oil.

Edit: You might want to post this on Turbobricks as well, if you need ongoing help on the road there are a lot more people logging on there all of the time than here, good luck. :D

Hey! Thanks its mostly around the front. It may be the oil cooler lines. Its all highway driving so it's been covering everything around the front. I did check inside the timing belt cover and the actual timing belt is dry as a bone

I left a post over on tbrix as well. I would check the lines as mentioned, as Towery commented on tbrix the oil could be running across the cooler lines as they run under the front of the engine where the fan would blow it all over. As I mentioned in the other thread take the car to Paul at Bert & Jacks in Calgary.
