I was just feeling smug about finally getting the 122 running smooth with most of the expected hp when this happened. I haven't even taken a good look at it yet because I'm in the middle of painting my truck and it needs to be on the road again by tues. Hopefully it's not too rotten and someone can just weld it up.

It does look more like a stress/flex failure than pure rust. A band clamp (I get mine at AutoValue) would get it back on the road. Or an exhaust connecter piece which will slip over both sides and use two regular clamps. Measure the OD of the pipe and go shopping.

Good tip. Used a connector piece. The metal's not great but it will hold for a bit.

There should be a bracket to hold an exhaust donut on the rear frame member just before the bumper bracket. Hook the exhasut system up to it and all the other mount points and you should be fine. Mine use to slip off that mount point all the time - Greg helped me out one day with a zip tie that worked a charm until I cut it all off and made a stainless steel exhaust system.
